What to bring on an Antalya day charter: checklist

Use this list as a starting point, not as evidence that any item will be supplied on board. Save the booking confirmation, operator’s contact details and meeting instructions on your phone, and keep a separate copy available offline. The evening before, check the date, programme time, marina and transfer arrangement. Confirm identification requirements with the operator, carry any document required by law or the boarding authority, and keep the documents together in a splash-resistant pouch.

Sun protection deserves more than one bottle of sunscreen. The CDC Yellow Book recommends broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, protective clothing, shade, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses that protect against UVA and UVB. Apply sunscreen before exposure and reapply according to its label, especially after swimming or heavy sweating. Water reflects ultraviolet radiation, so cloud or a breeze does not remove the risk.

Pack a swimsuit, your own towel, a dry change of clothes and a light outer layer. Choose compact items that can be stowed safely. Ask the operator what footwear is appropriate on the confirmed boat rather than assuming shoes are worn on deck. If a child needs a particular flotation-aid size or a guest needs boarding assistance, disclose that before payment and request written confirmation of suitability.

Bring personal medication in its original packaging and enough for the whole outing. Keep essential medicine accessible, not buried in a large bag, and tell a responsible member of your party where it is. The crew cannot diagnose a condition or replace a clinician. If heat, sun, allergies, pregnancy or another health matter changes what you should carry, ask a pharmacist or clinician before the trip.

For MY FREEDOM’s fixed Kundu day and sunset programmes, the verified inclusions are the meal cooked aboard, drinking water, soft drinks, tea and Turkish coffee. Round-trip hotel transfer within Kundu is included; collection outside Kundu is quoted separately. Report dietary requirements before booking. Alcohol is not supplied, but guests may bring their own without a corkage charge.

Do not transfer the MY FREEDOM list to another vessel. Longer, western-coast, overnight and other non-fixed requests are quote-led on a selected partner boat. The actual vessel, duration, route, facilities, food, drinks, transfer and alcohol policy must appear in the written proposal before payment. A photograph of a mask, paddleboard or cabin is not evidence that it is included in your booking.

For the water, take only personal items you know you will use: prescription goggles, a familiar mask or another fitted aid. Confirm any snorkelling gear, fins, towels, charging points, music connection or sports equipment separately. Protect phones with a properly closed dry pouch and consider a floating strap. Leave unnecessary jewellery and bulky luggage at the hotel, and never block a passage with bags.

Finish with a party check: sun protection, towel, clothing, personal medicine, phone protection, dietary notice and any child-specific need. One organiser should compare the checklist with the final confirmation and share the result with everyone. The best-packed group is not the one carrying the most; it is the one that distinguishes personal essentials from services the operator has actually confirmed.
