How the day runs

A proposal at sea works best when the practical plan supports the moment without trying to script every second. Tell us your preferred date, the number of guests and whether you are considering the published daytime or sunset programme. One organiser should also explain how the surprise will be handled: whether the other guest knows about the yacht, what information may appear in messages, and when the ring or another personal item will be brought aboard. We can then discuss a sensible sequence within the confirmed programme, while leaving the words and the moment entirely yours.

MY FREEDOM operates from Kundu on its published fixed daytime and sunset programmes. It is booked privately for one reservation group of 1 to 12 guests; no unrelated passengers are added to that booking. Private use of the yacht does not mean exclusive use of the sea, an empty bay or a route created for the occasion. Other boats, changing conditions and operational decisions can affect what is seen during the trip. A sunset programme describes the scheduled time window, not a guarantee that a clear or visible sunset will occur.

Choose the programme first rather than planning the proposal around a location that has not been confirmed. Boarding arrangements and the operational route follow the selected published programme and the conditions on the day. If a particular backdrop, stop, coastline or exact minute is essential, state that before a quotation is prepared. We will say whether it fits the normal MY FREEDOM operation or whether it needs a different arrangement. A spoken suggestion, a photograph from another trip or a message saying “we will try” should never be treated as a confirmed route or guaranteed proposal setting.

Flowers, decorative styling, a cake, a photographer, alcoholic drinks and any other celebration service are optional requests, not standard promises. Availability, supplier timing, yacht suitability and price must be checked for the actual date. An option becomes part of the booking only when it is named in the written approval and included in the written quotation. The same rule applies to discreet crew assistance, music timing, storage of an item or help with a planned signal. If an element is absent from the written scope, plan on it not being provided.

Round-trip hotel transfer within Kundu is included for the confirmed MY FREEDOM booking. Collection or return outside Kundu is quoted separately, so send the exact hotel or pickup point rather than only the resort name. Transfer time should be agreed before inventing a surprise story for the day. If the proposal depends on another appointment, restaurant reservation or airport transfer, share that timing early; the yacht programme is not automatically extended because another part of the celebration runs late. Clear logistics protect the calm atmosphere you want once everyone is aboard.

Requests outside the published MY FREEDOM format are handled separately. A different route or duration, special equipment, a west-coast departure, an overnight stay or a group larger than 12 requires a selected partner yacht and its own separate written offer. The partner vessel may have different boarding points, inclusions, operating limits and prices. We do not present that as an automatic upgrade to MY FREEDOM. It is a separate charter offer that must identify the actual yacht and programme, allowing you to compare it with the fixed Kundu option before deciding.

Before paying, ask for one written confirmation that names the yacht, departure point, boarding details, selected programme, route, total price, included services, and the applicable cancellation and weather terms. Check that the guest count, transfer address and every approved proposal extra are shown as well. Do not rely on a collage, an earlier conversation or a generic occasion package title. Once those details match your plan, the booking has a clear foundation: a private group, a defined operational programme and a proposal whose personal meaning does not depend on promises nobody has made.

Send the date, guest count, Kundu pickup address, preferred daytime or sunset programme, one discreet organiser contact and every essential request. Before payment, obtain written confirmation of the yacht, departure, boarding, programme, route, price, inclusions, cancellation/weather terms and any approved extra.
