How the day runs

A family request should describe the actual children rather than rely on a general “family-friendly” label. Send the date, total guest count, each child’s age, swimming confidence, mobility needs and the hotel area. Mention pushchairs, fixed nap times, food requirements and any deadline for returning ashore. These details help the operator decide whether one of the published MY FREEDOM programmes fits or whether a different vessel and schedule should be proposed. They do not, by themselves, confirm suitability or equipment.

MY FREEDOM has two published private programmes from Kundu: 09:30–15:00 and 15:00–20:30. Each is reserved for one group of 1–12 guests, including children in that total. The morning programme may suit a family that wants the evening free; the later programme changes the light, meal timing and return hour. The family should choose between those defined options rather than assume that the schedule, route or duration can be altered within the published booking.

Ask vessel-specific questions before committing. Child-size life jackets, a particular boarding ladder, platform, rail arrangement, shaded seating, cabin access, toilet access, pushchair storage and snorkelling equipment must never be inferred from a category name or photograph. State the sizes and features that matter. They become part of the booking only if the selected vessel is checked and the written confirmation names what will be available for the requested date. Bring personal items whenever the confirmation tells you to do so.

Plan the day around realistic transitions. Hotel pickup, arrival at the marina, boarding, the first time at anchor, meals and the return all divide a child’s day. Ask for the confirmed meeting time and describe any hard limit rather than building plans around an estimated stop. The captain selects and may change the proposed route or swim locations according to sea conditions, weather and port instructions. No page can guarantee a calm passage, one particular bay or a fixed number of minutes in the water.

Food needs should be written with the guest list. The two published MY FREEDOM programmes include their stated meal and non-alcoholic drinks, but a children’s menu, high chair, bottle warming, refrigeration, allergy handling method or special serving equipment is not automatic. Tell the operator what the group needs and what it plans to bring. Only an item or arrangement that appears in the final written scope should be treated as provided by the vessel.

Round-trip hotel transfer within Kundu is included in the two published MY FREEDOM programmes for the booked group. Pickup outside Kundu is priced separately and must be stated in the confirmation. If the family requests another departure point, a western-coast route, a longer day, specialist equipment or an overnight plan, or has more than twelve guests, the operator must select and name a partner vessel in a separate written quote. That offer needs its own capacity, marina, boarding, transfer, schedule and inclusions.

Before payment, read one complete written confirmation. It should name the vessel, departure marina or berth, boarding time, programme, proposed route, total price, transfer and every included service. It should also record the child-related equipment or access features that were checked, food arrangements, payment and cancellation terms, and the process when weather or operating conditions require a change. If a crucial need is missing, ask for it to be added or choose a different proposal.

The strongest family booking is specific without making promises the vessel cannot support. Keep one adult as the group contact, share the final meeting details with everyone and supervise the children according to the confirmed vessel instructions. Separate essential needs from preferences when writing the enquiry: the operator can then reject an unsuitable match, propose another boat or confirm the right arrangement without hiding uncertainty behind a broad family label.

Children count within MY FREEDOM’s 1–12 guest limit. Every child-related item, access feature and optional arrangement is valid only when checked for the named vessel and included in the written confirmation.
