How the day runs

A shoot on the water needs a practical brief before it needs a mood board. Tell us whether the work is editorial, commercial, personal or social, how many people will board, what equipment travels with them and which hotel area they use. We can then test the idea against a real programme instead of implying that every image can be recreated on any boat.

MY FREEDOM operates from Kundu on its published fixed daytime and sunset programmes for one booking group of 1–12 guests. Those programmes define the starting point, duration and normal operation. Booking the yacht privately means no unrelated guests are added; it does not create a new departure time, route, production schedule or permission to alter the yacht.

A requested shot list is useful for planning, not a guarantee of light or location. Sun angle, cloud, haze, wind, sea state and traffic can change what is possible on the day. A particular beam of light, a glassy surface, an empty bay, a precise heading or exclusive access to a background becomes no more than a preference unless the written scope addresses what the operator can actually control.

Do not assume that a wide deck, bathing platform, power supply, storage area, changing space or safe fixing point is available from a gallery image. The same applies to moving furniture, clearing equipment from frame or holding a position for repeated takes. Each request must be checked for the selected vessel and operation, then named in writing if accepted.

A photographer, videographer, assistant, styling team, decorations, drinks, music and drone work are not automatically included. If production crew or services are required, state who supplies them and how many people they add to the passenger count. They are included only when the written confirmation or quotation lists them for the named vessel, date and operating plan.

For drone use, the guest and operator must verify any required permission with the relevant authority for the intended location, date and activity before flying. Neither a boat reservation nor an entry in the shot list establishes permission. The operator may also decline a launch or recovery when safety or operating conditions do not allow it, even when filming remains part of the broader brief.

A different route or duration, specialist equipment, a shoot on the west coast, overnight production or a group larger than twelve requires a selected partner vessel and a separate written quotation. The offer must identify that boat rather than promise a generic yacht. Its boarding point, capacity, working areas and operating limits are assessed for the specific production before payment is requested.

Round-trip transfer from hotels within Kundu is included with the standard MY FREEDOM booking. Transport outside Kundu is priced separately. For a partner-vessel production, the quotation must state the boarding point, transfer arrangements and any travel between regions; a Kundu pickup is included only when written into that offer.

Before payment, receive a written scope naming the vessel, departure point, boarding arrangement, programme, route, price and included services. It must also state the applicable cancellation terms and how weather or sea conditions affect the operation. Use that record to approve the call sheet and fallback priorities; creative conversations, reference photographs and preliminary timing ideas do not replace it.

MY FREEDOM is available to one booking group of 1–12 guests within its fixed Kundu daytime or sunset programme. A bespoke production requires a named partner vessel and a separate quote; every crew, equipment, drone or location request must appear in the written scope before payment.
