Private yacht charter for non-swimmers in Antalya
A guest does not have to swim to join a private yacht day, but staying aboard, seating, shade and support must be checked for the named vessel.
- The short answerSwimming is optional, but the named vessel, boarding, seating, shade, support, programme, price and weather terms must all be confirmed before payment.
Start by describing what “non-swimmer” means for the actual guest. Someone may simply prefer not to enter the water, while another person may need a stable seat, help during boarding or a clear place to remain when others swim. Send the date, total number of adults and children, hotel area and the guest’s practical requirements without asking the operator to make a medical judgment. Swimming is not compulsory, yet suitability cannot be inferred from a general yacht category or a photograph.
MY FREEDOM operates only from Kundu on two published private programmes: 09:30–15:00 and 15:00–20:30. Each booking is for one private group of 1–12 guests, including children. A guest may choose not to swim, but that choice does not automatically change the departure, duration, proposed route or operating sequence for the rest of the group. Select one fixed programme and ask how the non-swimmer can take part within it. Availability and the practical arrangement must be confirmed for the requested date.
Ask specifically where the guest may stay while others are in the water. Seating position, shade, access to a toilet or cabin, rail layout, crew working areas and the practical way to move between spaces vary by vessel and operating conditions. Do not promise that a guest can use a particular deck, platform or interior space because it appears in a gallery. The written confirmation should name the vessel and record the seating or stay-aboard arrangement that has actually been checked and accepted.
Treat boarding as a separate question from swimming. Describe steps, balance concerns, mobility aids and the amount of assistance needed. Ask about the actual marina or berth, boarding method, handholds and any child- or adult-size life jacket requirement relevant to the named vessel. A request for assistance does not establish step-free access, a particular gangway or dedicated staff support. Each essential feature must be checked for the trip and included in writing before payment.
Choosing not to swim does not create a calm-sea, comfort, health or safety guarantee. Wind, sea state, traffic and weather can affect motion at the berth, under way and during stops. The captain may change the proposed route or stop arrangement and may direct guests where to sit or move. A guest with a health concern should seek appropriate personal advice rather than rely on this page or the crew for a medical decision. The operator can explain the planned programme, not predict individual tolerance.
A request outside the fixed MY FREEDOM format follows the partner-vessel path. Another route or duration, specialist equipment, a western-coast departure, an overnight stay or more than twelve guests requires a selected partner vessel named in a separate written quotation. Do not assume that a larger or different boat is automatically more suitable for a non-swimmer. Its boarding, seating, shade, access, stated guest limit and operating plan must be evaluated for the specific group without importing features from MY FREEDOM.
Confirm transport and optional support separately. Round-trip hotel transfer within Kundu is included for the two published MY FREEDOM programmes. Collection or return outside Kundu is priced separately and is included only when the written confirmation states the area, meeting point and timing. A companion’s assistance, extra crew help, a particular life jacket, food changes or other requested service is optional until the operator confirms it in writing for the named vessel. Informal reassurance does not make a service part of the booking.
Before payment, obtain one complete confirmation naming the vessel, departure point, boarding arrangement, programme, proposed route, total price and every included service. It should also state cancellation terms and what happens when weather or operating conditions require a change. The official sources linked here provide regulatory background, not a certificate for a proposed boat or a personal safety assessment. The useful test is practical: can this guest follow the captain’s instructions and participate without swimming under the exact written arrangement offered for the date?

Common questions
How are the vessel and programme confirmed?
Before payment, the written quote names the vessel, departure marina, boarding and return times, and proposed route.
What is included in the price?
Nothing is assumed for a bespoke request or partner vessel. The written quote lists meals, drinks, fuel, harbour costs, transfers and any extra charges.
Can the route change?
Yes. The captain confirms a safe plan for the actual sea, weather and harbour instructions, and may change the route or stops when needed.
How is guest capacity confirmed?
Capacity is confirmed for the selected vessel in the written quote; larger groups may require a different vessel.
