Private yacht or shared boat tour in Antalya?

The useful comparison is not which format is universally better, but which written programme matches your group, timing and expectations without hidden assumptions.

Begin with the booking model rather than a photograph of the boat. A private charter reserves the confirmed vessel for one booking group during the stated programme. A shared tour may sell places separately to unrelated guests. Neither label tells you the route, boarding point, stops, food, transfer arrangement or cancellation terms by itself. Those details belong in the operator’s current offer for the date you are considering.

MY FREEDOM is the private option described on this site. It operates from Kundu with two published fixed programmes: 09:30–15:00 and 15:00–20:30. One group of 1–12 guests books the yacht, so passengers outside that reservation do not join it. Private use does not turn either programme into an open-ended hire, an individually designed route or exclusive control of any bay.

For a shared boat tour, read the actual operator’s offer instead of relying on general comparisons. Check whether you are buying individual places, where boarding takes place, the scheduled departure and return, the described route, what the price includes and how changes are handled. Do not assume a shared tour will be cheaper, busier, quieter, longer or more generous with stops; those outcomes vary and are not promised here.

Privacy can matter when a family, couple or group wants to talk, celebrate or organise its own pace within a fixed programme. Even on a private yacht, however, the sea and anchorages are not reserved for one party, and operational decisions remain with the captain and crew. A shared trip can suit travellers whose priority is simply a place on a published outing, provided its own timetable and conditions meet their needs.

Compare like with like on one written sheet. Record the named vessel, departure area, exact boarding point, programme times, operational route, total price, included services and the cancellation and weather terms. Then ask the shared-tour operator for the same categories in its offer. Official public sources can provide sector context, but they do not replace a date-specific booking document or prove what a particular commercial package contains.

Transfers require the same care. A return hotel transfer within Kundu is included with the published MY FREEDOM programmes. Pickup or return outside Kundu is priced separately and must be agreed before payment. Do not extend that arrangement to a shared tour or another yacht by analogy. Its operator should state the pickup area, meeting point, timing, vehicle arrangement and any extra charge in the written offer.

A different route or duration, special equipment, a west-coast departure, an overnight stay or a group larger than 12 is outside the standard MY FREEDOM booking. Such a request needs a selected partner vessel identified by name and a separate written quotation. Music, decorations, drinks, photography or any other option applies only when it is available for that vessel and operation and appears in the written confirmation.

Choose MY FREEDOM when one private booking group, Kundu departure and one of its two fixed programmes fit the plan. Consider a shared tour when the operator’s specific offer suits guests who want separately sold places. Before paying either provider, resolve every blank in writing: vessel, departure, boarding, programme, route, price, inclusions, cancellation and the procedure for weather-related changes. The safer choice is the clearly documented fit, not a category slogan.

Private or shared: compare the same written fields

Use one checklist for both offers so the booking label cannot hide a different vessel, timetable, route or service scope.

Common questions

How are the vessel and programme confirmed?

Before payment, the written quote names the vessel, departure marina, boarding and return times, and proposed route.

What is included in the price?

Nothing is assumed for a bespoke request or partner vessel. The written quote lists meals, drinks, fuel, harbour costs, transfers and any extra charges.

Can the route change?

Yes. The captain confirms a safe plan for the actual sea, weather and harbour instructions, and may change the route or stops when needed.

How is guest capacity confirmed?

Capacity is confirmed for the selected vessel in the written quote; larger groups may require a different vessel.
