Planning a yacht charter with access needs in Antalya

Access on a yacht is vessel-specific, so describe each guest’s practical needs and obtain written answers for the named boat before payment.

Treat accessibility as a practical planning conversation, not a badge attached to a photograph. Two boats can have very different boarding gaps, step heights, deck levels and interior layouts. A wide-looking deck image does not show the full path from vehicle to seat, toilet or cabin. The word “accessible” alone is also too broad to promise that a vessel will meet one guest’s particular mobility, sensory or support needs.

Describe the journey in stages and ask about the named yacht. Start with the transfer drop-off and distance to the quay, then cover the gangway or boarding step, stairs, thresholds, handholds and surfaces on the route to the seating area. Ask separately about access to shade, toilet and cabin. Request current measurements or clear images where they would help, but use them to assess suitability rather than treating them as a guarantee.

MY FREEDOM operates only from Kundu on two published fixed programmes, 09:30–15:00 and 15:00–20:30, for one private booking group of 1–12 guests. That product description does not by itself confirm step-free boarding, wheelchair circulation, an adapted toilet, lifting equipment or physical assistance. The relevant arrangements must be checked for the actual boarding setup, guest needs and operating conditions, then recorded in writing before any payment.

A return hotel transfer within Kundu is included in the published MY FREEDOM programmes; addresses outside Kundu are priced separately. Included transfer does not automatically mean an adapted vehicle, kerb-to-deck assistance or room for every mobility device. Explain whether equipment folds, give relevant dimensions, state whether the guest can transfer to another seat and mention the assistance they expect. The operator can then confirm only what the specific vehicle and team can provide.

Do not assume that crew members can lift a person or a heavy device, or that a requested ramp, platform, handrail, shaded position or support aid will be carried. Any such item or assistance is an option only if the operator confirms it for the named vessel and operation in writing. A companion’s presence may help an individual plan, but it does not create an unconfirmed service or transfer responsibility to the crew.

If the confirmed MY FREEDOM setup does not fit the stated needs, a different vessel may be considered without describing every partner boat as accessible. A different route or duration, special equipment, a west-coast departure, an overnight stay or more than 12 guests requires a selected partner vessel named in a separate written quotation. Its boarding point, layout, facilities, operating programme, price and included services may all differ and must be reassessed from the beginning.

Access planning cannot remove movement caused by the sea or guarantee that weather will remain unchanged. Share relevant practical concerns with the operator, and seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional when a medical decision is involved; this guide does not provide medical advice. The captain retains operational authority. Ask how weather-related delay, alteration or cancellation is handled, while avoiding any assumption that another route or stop will be available.

Before paying, obtain one written confirmation naming the yacht, departure area, boarding point and method, programme, operational route, price, included services, cancellation terms and procedure for weather-related changes. Add the access details that matter to the guest: steps, stairs, handholds, toilet or cabin path, shade, transfer arrangement, mobility support and any confirmed equipment. A precise answer may still be “not suitable”; knowing that before payment is more useful than a vague accessibility label.

Common questions

How are the vessel and programme confirmed?

Before payment, the written quote names the vessel, departure marina, boarding and return times, and proposed route.

What is included in the price?

Nothing is assumed for a bespoke request or partner vessel. The written quote lists meals, drinks, fuel, harbour costs, transfers and any extra charges.

Can the route change?

Yes. The captain confirms a safe plan for the actual sea, weather and harbour instructions, and may change the route or stops when needed.

How is guest capacity confirmed?

Capacity is confirmed for the selected vessel in the written quote; larger groups may require a different vessel.
