Yacht charter in Ucagiz
a living harbour village built over the small Lycian port of Teimiussa
- Why guests choose itSeeing an inhabited waterfront and the remains of Teimiussa without treating either as scenery for the other.
About Ucagiz
Present-day Üçağız occupies the site of Teimiussa, where tombs and harbour remains sit beside a working settlement. Official sources identify its natural harbour as a departure area for visits toward Simena and Kekova Island. Any private-yacht request uses a selected partner vessel whose full scope is confirmed in writing.
Getting there
Üçağız is both a living village and the location of ancient Teimiussa. Its harbour role makes it relevant to Kekova planning, but it does not guarantee a vessel for every request. This is outside MY FREEDOM’s fixed Kundu programmes. We select a partner vessel only after checking the date and group, then confirm the boarding point, schedule, route, price and inclusions in writing.
The water
The Antalya cultural authority states that boats leave Üçağız for Simena and Kekova Island, and it records harbour remains along the ancient settlement. That supports a maritime connection, not a standard private route with assumed stops. The chosen vessel’s passage, any swim time and any landing must be feasible on the requested date and explicitly included in the written quote before guests plan around them.
Through the season
We do not attach a guaranteed quiet month, water temperature or fixed harbour condition to Üçağız. The village, local boat traffic and operating circumstances can differ by date, while weather can alter the practical route. A partner proposal is therefore prepared for the actual request and reviewed near departure. The written plan identifies realistic timing and alternatives without turning a broad seasonal pattern into a promise.
What you are looking at
Üçağız stands on Teimiussa, described officially as a small Lycian harbour city. An inscription indicates that its history reaches back to the fourth century BCE. Tombs remain throughout the settlement, including a house-type tomb near the landing area, while numerous sarcophagi are visible toward the eastern side. The ancient cut-stone quay further explains why this sheltered waterfront developed around maritime activity.
Worth knowing
Use the names carefully when requesting a plan: Üçağız is the present village, Teimiussa is the ancient settlement beneath and around it, Simena is Kaleköy across the water, and Kekova also names the island and wider region. Ask the quote to identify each stop separately. Confirm the partner vessel, meeting point, shore time, meals, transfers and any site visit rather than assuming a complete Kekova circuit.

Common questions
How are the vessel and programme confirmed?
Before payment, the written quote names the vessel, departure marina, boarding and return times, and proposed route.
What is included in the price?
Nothing is assumed for a bespoke request or partner vessel. The written quote lists meals, drinks, fuel, harbour costs, transfers and any extra charges.
Can the route change?
Yes. The captain confirms a safe plan for the actual sea, weather and harbour instructions, and may change the route or stops when needed.
How is guest capacity confirmed?
Capacity is confirmed for the selected vessel in the written quote; larger groups may require a different vessel.
