Yacht charter in Side

an archaeological peninsula with theatre and coastal temples

About Side

The official museum service presents Side through its distinctive ancient theatre and recommends the temples of Apollo and Athena near the coast. A private-yacht view is a quote-led request, not a fixed MY FREEDOM programme; vessel, departure, route, timing, price, inclusions and shore access require written confirmation.

Getting there

Side is not an owned MY FREEDOM sunset route from Kundu. The enquiry first requires a suitable selected partner vessel and a practical confirmed departure point. The written offer must name the operating vessel, boarding location, proposed schedule, route, price and services. It should also distinguish a coastal view from a lawful land visit to the archaeological site. Neither a temple view, a sunset alignment nor a landing is guaranteed before those details are approved.

The water

The coast adjoins a protected archaeological setting, so a yacht must not treat visible ancient fabric as a swimming or anchoring feature. The skipper and relevant authorities determine safe distance, traffic separation and any feasible water stop for the day. We make no fixed statement about seabed, depth, visibility, water temperature or wildlife. If swimming is important, require the selected operator to identify the proposed area and its alternatives in writing without promising access beside the ruins.

Through the season

Plan the request around current conditions and museum information rather than a claim about the best month. Vessel availability, sea state, forecast, daylight and archaeological-site arrangements all vary. The official museum service publishes Side opening and ticket information, including any current evening programme, and that source should be checked near the date. Ask the yacht operator separately how weather, route changes and a missed shore component affect the booking.

What you are looking at

The official Side archaeological-site page identifies the ancient theatre as a particularly distinctive monument: its plan follows the Hellenistic tradition while its construction displays Roman architectural methods. It also directs visitors to the temples of Apollo and Athena. The official Side Museum occupies a restored Roman-period bath opposite the agora and displays finds from Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods, including sculpture, inscriptions, architectural pieces and coins. These facts support a cultural visit, not a yacht-access claim.

Worth knowing

Choose whether the priority is an offshore coastal view, a separate archaeological visit or swimming at an operator-approved location. Then obtain a complete written offer listing vessel, departure, schedule, route, duration, capacity, price, payment, cancellation, transfers, food, drinks and equipment. Check the official museum page for entry details. Wear appropriate shoes for a confirmed land visit, respect barriers, and never assume that a yacht may approach, anchor or let guests swim beside ancient remains.

Common questions

How are the vessel and programme confirmed?

Before payment, the written quote names the vessel, departure marina, boarding and return times, and proposed route.

What is included in the price?

Nothing is assumed for a bespoke request or partner vessel. The written quote lists meals, drinks, fuel, harbour costs, transfers and any extra charges.

Can the route change?

Yes. The captain confirms a safe plan for the actual sea, weather and harbour instructions, and may change the route or stops when needed.

How is guest capacity confirmed?

Capacity is confirmed for the selected vessel in the written quote; larger groups may require a different vessel.
