Yacht charter in Kaputas
a small beach where a steep gorge opens to the Mediterranean
- Why guests choose itA narrow gorge, a small beach and a striking view from the sea.
About Kaputas
Kaputaş lies between Kaş and Kalkan at the foot of a narrow coastal gorge. Seen from the water, its sand, rock walls and changing blue tones form a compact landscape. MY FREEDOM’s fixed programmes depart only from Kundu, and Kaputaş is not one of those routes. A Kaputaş request uses a selected partner vessel. Before booking or payment, a separate written offer must confirm the vessel, actual departure and boarding point, schedule, route, price and inclusions. Any nearby stop, swimming or landing remains subject to conditions, local rules and the partner captain’s assessment that day.
Getting there
Kaputaş is recognised by the narrow canyon that opens onto a small beach between steep coastal slopes. The view from sea and the road above show the same landscape from different angles, but neither guarantees a vessel stop, swimming or landing. MY FREEDOM’s fixed programmes depart only from Kundu, and Kaputaş is not one of those routes. A Kaputaş request therefore uses a selected partner vessel. Before booking or payment, a separate written offer must identify the vessel, actual departure and boarding point, schedule, route, price and inclusions. Weather, sea state, local rules and the partner captain’s final safety decision determine what can operate.
The water
Kaputaş faces an open section of coast, so the usable water area can change with swell, wind and recent conditions. Colour in photographs is not evidence of a particular depth, temperature or visibility on the selected day. Swimming or approaching the beach should happen only if the captain considers it safe and current site guidance permits it. A passage view or a different protected swimming stop may be the appropriate plan.
Through the season
The visual character of Kaputaş is not limited to one month, while access and comfort depend on conditions that a seasonal slogan cannot guarantee. Daylight, marine forecast, road or site management and the needs of the group all matter. Ask before booking whether the page describes a coastal passage, a possible swim or a possible land visit, and request a clear alternative if conditions rule out the preferred option.
What you are looking at
Kaputaş Beach lies where a narrow canyon reaches the Mediterranean and is protected as a natural site. Access from the road descends by approximately two hundred steps, which helps explain how the dramatic geography shapes a land visit. The canyon mouth, steep sides and conservation status are the essential story of this place. Current access and protection notices should be checked through official municipal or site information before travelling.
Worth knowing
Separate the attractive viewpoint from the operational promise. Confirm in writing whether the proposed day includes seeing Kaputaş from sea, a conditional swimming stop or a separately arranged land visit. Check the exact departure, vessel and route before paying, then follow the captain if the forecast requires a change. For road access, consider the long stairway, take water and suitable shoes, and use current official visitor guidance.
